About Me
Welcome to my web page! I’m currently a 6th Year PhD Candidate in the Department of Physics and Astronomy and CIERA at Northwestern University and an affiliate at the SkAI Institute in downtown Chicago.
My research focuses on dynamics, whether in dense stellar environment like globular clusters, or in less dense environments like exoplanet systems or triple star systems. These days, I mostly focus on the role of few-body dynamics in the production of black hole mergers in dense star clusters.
I was originally born in Manila but I was mostly raised in New York City. Before attending Northwestern, I earned my BA in Astrophysics at Columbia University in 2019. Outside of research, I enjoy baking, stationery, and kpop! Additionally, I also practice and teach the Japanese martial art of naginata after having started at the Columbia University Naginata Club as a freshman. I currently teach naginata at Shuukinkan Naginata in Chicago and I am the co-founder and president of the Midwest Naginata Federation.
